Head Tennis Coach - Job Opportunity

St. George’s Tennis Club is a community-driven tennis club located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.       A part of the community since 1885, the club features five Har-Tru tennis courts and 1 mini court.  St. George’s Tennis Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fun and affordable options to play tennis.

 St. George’s is currently seeking a Head Coach for the 2021 summer season. The Head Coach reports to the Board of Directors Junior Development Coordinator and is responsible for junior and adult tennis programs.  

 Responsibilities will include:

-       Developing and delivering junior and adult member group lessons, 

-       Providing private lessons to members

 The ideal candidate:

-       TPA membership up to date

-       Minimum Club Pro 1 Tennis Canada certification

-       Familiar with Kids Tennis Curriculum 

-       Commitment to Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM) 

-       Able to work independently and with little supervision

-       Available to work 2 evenings per week

 This is a part-time or full-time position (approximately 15 hours/week of junior and adult lessons + private lessons) which begins when the Club opens in May/June and continues into the Fall.

Remuneration: 

-       Commensurate with experience and will be structured in accordance with level of certification
