Welcome Roger Cochrane - Tennis Head Coach for the 2021 Season

St. Georges is pleased to welcome Roger Cochrane to our club as head coach for the 2021 season.

A tennis professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI) since 2001, Roger is on a brief hiatus from PBI as the world focuses on the pandemic. As a result of the pandemic, St. George’s will gain from Roger’s expertise while he spends time in his hometown, Windsor, Nova Scotia.

Roger’s resume with PBI is extensive including: Rosewood’s Las Ventanas al Paraiso ( Los Cabos, Mexico), The Four Seasons Great Exuma (The Bahamas), The Aberdeen Marina Club (Hong Kong, China), The Four Seasons Nevis (West Indies), Thanyapura (Phuket, Thailand), Tokyo Lawn Tennis Club (Tokyo, Japan), and The Ritz-Carlton (Manama, Bahrain).

Roger is a seasoned tennis pro by any measure. He has coached in Hong Kong’s junior program, and coached Thailand’s top-ranked ITF/ATP player. In 2006, Roger won PBI’s Professional of the Year

Roger will be working with the Board, with assistance from Tennis Nova Scotia, to structure our lesson program and tennis activities at our club.

Roger is no stranger to our tennis community. A successful tennis player, he participated in the Canadian Junior Nationals and worked at the Waegwoltic Club and the former Courtyard Tennis Club (Bayers Lake).

Please join us in welcoming Roger to St. George’s!!
